Coquitlam’s Oakdale Land Use Update Receives First Reading
On February 3rd the long-awaited Oakdale Land Use Designation Update took another step towards ratification when it received First Reading at the City of Coquitlam’s Regular Council Meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with all councillors voicing general support for the new land use plan (pictured above) which proposes a considerable increase in density to the rapidly developing Burquitlam Station node.
Several details will need to be resolved prior to the plan being “application ready”, but the Public Hearing (and possible adoption date) is set for February 24th in Council Chambers at Coquitlam City Hall.
More background on the Oakdale Land Use Designation Update can be found in our 2019 Burquitlam-Lougheed State of the Market Report or on the City of Coquitlam’s dedicated web page.
