South Surrey 2016 Development Forecast

South Surrey continues to be a hotbed for residential development, out-pacing the Fraser Valley averages in nearly every metric from speed of development and new application submissions to selling prices and product absorption rates. Click here to read our South Surrey Sales & Neighbourhood Update article.

We have mapped recent development activity to understand current areas of focus and identify future development zones. The green highlighted regions on the map below indicate areas containing a high concentration of new development applications.

As development follows closely behind land transactions, the concentration of recent residential development land sales, shown by the red and yellow areas, indicates that future development will continue to spread out from Sunnyside Heights and Orchard Grove into neighbouring areas. An additional pocket of development will be coming in Redwood Heights as developers’ have began acquiring development properties in anticipation of a completed land use plan.
